Hi, our fleet of iPads, when configured as shared iPads, can no longer use the screen recording feature in Control Center. Has anyone else encountered this problem or found a solution?

Have you tried adding the screen recording option to the Control Center by customizing it?
Yes, the user can still access Control Center by swiping down from the top-right of the screen, but it looks like the option to add or organize items in the Control Center is missing from the Settings menu.
It might be a restriction that’s causing the issue. Have you tried checking the configuration profile? It could be blocking the screen recording feature.
There hasn’t been any restriction applied, so at this point, I’m not sure if there’s anything else to check. I have gone through all the possible settings and options.
During our testing, we couldn’t make any changes to the Control Center for shared iPads. After digging around a bit, we found Apple’s documentation, which mentions that shared iPads aren’t able to add or remove items from the Control Center.
That might be the reason after all. Thanks guys.
Hi, has anyone found a workaround yet?
I’m afraid not – looks like we’ll have to rely on third party applications for screen recording instead. Hopefully Apple will address this in a future version.
Hi, quick question – since we are discussing shared iPads, is there a way to erase my iPad if I can’t access the ‘Erase All Contents and Settings’ option? Any help is greatly appreciated.
You can try using ‘Wipe Device’ action from Hexnode UEM if your device is enrolled or use Apple Configurator, which allows you to erase and reset the device remotely.
Many thanks!
