Every year, Apple teases its upcoming OS in the first half of the year, and later, when the devices and OS are released in the latter half, Apple also provides keys to manage these new features through MDM solutions for organizational environments. Here are the new restrictions supported by Hexnode UEM that help simplify managing some of the latest iOS and macOS features: 

 

Following is the list of new iOS Advanced Restrictions: 

  1. Under Allow Device Functionality: 

  • RCS messaging 

  • Outgoing eSIM transfer 

  • Auto dimming 

  • iPhone mirroring 

  • Call recording  

  1. Under Allow App Settings: 

  • Lock apps 

  • Hide apps 

  1. Under Allow Security and Privacy Settings: 

  • Users can modify default browser 

  1. Under Allow Apple Intelligence: 

  • ChatGPT integration  

  • ChatGPT user account sign-in 

 

Following is the list of new macOS Advanced Restrictions: 

  1. Under Device Functionality and Personalization: 

  • iPhone Mirroring  

  1. Under Security and Privacy 

  • Users can modify Media Sharing settings 

  • Bypass screen capture alert 

  1. A newly added section –Allow Apple Intelligence

  • Image playground 

  • Writing tools 

  • ChatGPT integration 

  • ChatGPT user account sign-in
