We’re looking for a solution to improve privacy across our organization’s macOS devices by disabling chrome browser’s autofill functionality and preventing the saving of passwords and credit card information. It’s important to minimize the risk of sensitive information being stored on devices.

We had a similar issue in our organization. One option is to use Chrome’s managed preferences to enforce these settings. These preferences let you configure specific browser behaviors, like disabling autofill and password saving, for users across the organization.
Are you already using managed preferences, or are you configuring Chrome settings manually on individual devices?
We primarily configure Chrome settings manually, but some of the settings we’re trying to adjust seem to have more detailed requirements. For instance, disabling autofill and password saving involves not just toggling options but also ensuring they remain consistent across updates and different user profiles. So, we do need an alternate to this issue

Chrome’s configuration includes some unique settings that can be quite specific. I found a solution that might help you disable those settings. Try this out let me know if this works out for you.
