Hey people, I’ve been asking around about this for quite some time now, any responses would be greatly appreciated. I recently bought a used Mac for personal use from a known associate. I’ve checked everything, and all seems fine. But I have this lingering doubt: what if this device is assigned to an ABM domain? I’d love to know if there’s a way to check if my Mac is added to any ABM. I’ve already checked the profiles in the system settings, so I don’t think it’s enrolled in any device management solutions. So… anybody? Anything?

Hey,
So, you said you checked the profiles section and didn’t find any mdm profiles installed. I’m also assuming you checked the line at the top that says, ‘This Mac is supervised and managed by [Organization name].’ If you don’t see this, then it’s certain your Mac isn’t enrolled in any ABM. So, no worries! Just in case you still want to double-check, you can use the following terminal command.

sudo profiles –e |
If your device is added to an organization, this command will display the device configuration information related to the ABM (typically details about the respective organization). If not, you’ll see an error stating, “Could not fetch ABM details, Client is not DEP enabled.” Once you see that, you can relax and stop worrying!
