Hi community! My organization is planning to enroll in Hexnode UEM, and I’m wondering, if my device gets enrolled, will my personal accounts be removed when corporate accounts are added?

No, your personal accounts will not be removed when corporate accounts are added to the device.
Hexnode UEM supports different enrollment methods based on your device type and use case. If you are planning to enroll your personal device to Hexnode, then you can use enrollment methods such as User enrollment (for iOS), or Android Enterprise – Profile Owner (for Android) to ensure your personal data is separated from corporate data. Additionally, Hexnode UEM allows organizations to set up policies that manage both corporate and personal data on devices.

Thanks for that! What if I ever decide to remove my device from the organization? Will all the data be wiped, or can I keep my personal information?

If you decide to remove your device from the organization, Hexnode offers a corporate wipe feature that removes only corporate files, apps, and configurations without affecting the user’s personal data. To selectively wipe the corporate data, you can either disenroll the device from the Hexnode UEM portal or delete all the associated policies.

Okay, that makes sense. On a completely different note, is there any possible way to add employees as users in bulk instead of adding them one by one?

Yes, it is possible to add users to the Hexnode console using a CSV file that contains all the necessary user information.

Here’s how to do so:

  1. Log in to your Hexnode UEM portal.
  2. Go to Manage > Users > Bulk user.
  3. Upload the CSV file containing all the users and their details.
  4. You can choose whether or not to send enrollment requests.
  5. If you have provided the required fields such as display name, email, and ownership in the uploaded CSV file, then proceed to click “Next”. This will take you to the Add Users In Bulk page.
  6. Click on Submit and verify the details of the uploaded CSV.
  7. You will be able to select which users should be added and click on Add.
  8. Now, the users will be added to the Hexnode portal, and you can find them on the Users page under the Manage tab.
