We want to prevent excessive or unauthorized mobile data usage during international travel for our iOS devices. Ideally, we’d like a setup where devices connected to a mobile network outside the approved home country are detected, and mobile data is blocked or restricted to business apps only. Is this possible with Hexnode?
Yo folks! I’m trying to upload a new APK after deleting the old version, but I keep getting the error App upload failed. Why is this happening?
I’m trying to hide the status bar in kiosk mode, but it’s still showing. I already made an update under the Android restrictions section.
Hi everyone. I’m looking for some advice on managing our fleet of Zebra and Honeywell ruggedized devices once they’re out on the warehouse floor. We’re having some trouble with staff changing device settings, which keeps disrupting our operations. Also, if a device runs into issues in another state, is there a way to manage and fix it through Hexnode without having to send someone out there?
We’ve been reviewing our policies in the portal and noticed that some of them show multiple platforms like Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS together. Is there a way to change the platform of an existing policy so that it only applies to a specific OS? We’re trying to keep policies cleaner by separating them based on device platforms.
So I was setting up some iPads for our field team and realized they needed quick access to a some internal site. I thought about just bookmarking it, but then I remembered Web Clips are a thing. That’s when I got stuck.. wasn’t sure if I should add it under apps or policies in the management console. Anyone know the right way?
Whenever we try to start a remote view session on one of our Android devices, the user has to manually approve the connection on the device. However, we’re able to remotely access some of our other devices without any confirmation from the user. Is there a setting we might have missed that allows unattended remote view?
I’m trying to remove a policy from a device and assign a different one instead. I navigated to the device in the Manage tab and opened the Policies sub-tab, but I don’t see any option to remove the policy from the device. How can I remove the existing policy so I can apply a new one?
Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a bind with one of our Android devices. The device is currently stuck on the lock screen showing: “Too many incorrect unlock attempts. Try again in...” and the lockout timer is reaching several hours. The device is enrolled in the “Device Owner” mode in Hexnode UEM. Is there any way to get the user back in…
Hey everyone! I’m managing a fleet of tablets for a delivery service, and I’ve noticed the battery and storage info on my dashboard is often days old unless I manually click "Scan Device" for each one. Is there a better way to keep this data fresh without me having to manually initiate scan all day?
I’ve been manually using the “Change Owner” action in the Manage tab every time a device switches hands. It’s become a bit of a headache. Can this process be automated in Hexnode, and does it work for something like new employee onboarding?
The Hexnode Store has a lot of great Apps like Libre Office for MacOS. I would to be able to install Hexnode Store Apps automatically via Policy. Also I would like to be able to add Hexnode Store Apps to the App Catalog so Users can Install these Apps on their own using Hexnode on…
Hey team, We sadly use custom ROM flashed android devices that don't allow us to own them through android enterprise the classic way. This means our options for automated deployment are slim, as you don't offer a way to upload .apk files directly to your API for distribution. Due to this restriction, it…
Policies are aware of their version but it's not possible to compare two different versions to understand what was changed. Please add a support to compare two versions of a policy and compare two policies for differences.
I see that you've populated the Category and Content Rating fields for iOS apps, and I find this very useful! The Play Store has similar fields, and I'd love to be able to access them inside Hexnode. I see that you have a place for this information in your API "Search Apps" results, but for…
The UEM application App Catalog is aware of the software being installed, and is aware of the current version of software. It would be nice if there was a button that could be clicked in the App Catalog that would allow you to update the software. I spoke with support today and their recommendation was…
To enforce a strong password policy only for standard local user accounts, while excluding administrator accounts from the same policy enforcement.
If I have an update to a piece of software, I want to be able to determine which devices have the software and which version each device has so that I can get an idea of how many need to be updated as well as determine which computers to "pilot" the new software on. Right…
It is so annoying to have to use 2FA for actions that require password verification when we're already logged in to Hexnode. At least enable use of the Authenticator app we use to sign in so we're not getting a ton of 2FA emails.
now it's only possible general users , a reading permission user will be useful.
There is currently no option to change the font color for device details. Would it be possible to please allow for that to be something that we can change? The default red is too bright.
Would be cool to be able to make custom automations based on actions in hexnode...Fx: When phone is enrolled, send webhook When phone is going out of kiosk - Send webhook
Our developers mainly use MacOS. However, there are a few that would like to run linux. We have certain policies in our organization that describe the requirements that need to be met inorder to use in this case operating systems. A big one is making sure that de disks are encrypted and the encryption key…
