File deployment on devices

Folks, I’m in bit of a pickle right now. I’ve been trying to deploy a file into my macOS devices at the workplace using the Deploy custom configuration feature through Hexnode. But it seems I am unable to upload the file which in .txt and .csv formats. So, anyone got an idea how to get out of this?

Remote Actions that work in Kiosk mode for ChromeOS devices

Hey everyone, I recently purchased a few Chromebooks that I intend to use at my hotel’s reception for check-ins. I have tried Kiosk mode in ChromeOS vaguely for some of the existing Chromebooks in my organization, but I would like to know more about the remote actions I can perform through Hexnode in my devices, so that I can fully leverage my new devices for my purpose. Media management policy error in Windows

I’ve been trying to associate a policy for media management to secure my Windows devices. I needed to restrict the use of external media such as USBs and CDs, so I disabled the Allow use of all external media option in the media management policy. The policy applied successfully on most devices, but on a few, it failed. Has anyone else come across this?

Wipe action failing on Windows devices

Hey, I tried performing a Wipe action from Hexnode on one of our Windows devices, but it shows as “Not accepted by the device” in the Action History. I double-checked the policies, and there doesn’t seem to be any restriction/policy that could prevent the action. Any idea what might be causing this?

Vanta says my screen lock isn’t enabled… but it is!

We’ve set a 5-minute screen lock policy on all our macOS devices through Hexnode. It works perfectly, and devices lock themselves after inactivity just like they’re supposed to. But our Vanta compliance dashboard still insists that “Screen lock is not enabled.” Not sure what we’re missing here, has anyone run into this before?

Turn off 2FA for actions that require password when we are already logged in

It is so annoying to have to use 2FA for actions that require password verification when we're already logged in to Hexnode. At least enable use of the Authenticator app we use to sign in so we're not getting a ton of 2FA emails.
