Say hello to user-specific app deployment!

We are excited to introduce a powerful enhancement that gives IT admins significantly more control and precision when deploying applications on macOS devices. You can now deploy applications directly to a specific user account, eliminating the need for system-wide installations or complex workarounds. This ensures the right apps reach the right users, exactly when and…

Restrict printer sharing

Hi everyone, we’re trying to restrict printer sharing on our macOS devices. Our concern is that employees shouldn’t be able to share printers with other devices on the network. Most of our users have local administrator rights on their Macs, so we’re unsure if this restriction can still be enforced through Hexnode UEM. Has anyone handled this before?

How to enable API

Hey team, I am trying to send an API request to pull some details, but it keeps coming back with 401 (invalid credentials) error. I do not see any “enable” option either. Is there something I need to turn on, or how do I fix this?

Minimum device count for Hexnode licenses

Hi folks, I’m planning to manage just 3 devices for my team at the moment. While checking the pricing details, I noticed that Hexnode has a minimum license requirement of 15 devices.  Is there any option to purchase fewer licenses? Or do I need to go ahead with 15 licenses even if I don’t plan to use them all right now?

Improper disenrollment

Hi everyone, I’m seeing some strange behaviour in Hexnode portal. Our enrolled devices count suddenly jumped from 673 to 735, but we haven't added any new device. When I checked closer, I noticed multiple entries showing the same serial numbers. It looks like there are several duplicate entries for the same devices. I know for a fact that these devices were manually factory reset/wiped, but they keep reappearing in the list. Is this a bug?

What exactly are "MSPs"?

Hey everyone, I keep seeing the term "MSP" pop up whenever I look into IT solutions for my small logistics business. I know it stands for Managed Service Provider, but what does that actually mean in a practical sense? Is it just a fancy word for tech support, or is there more to it? I’m…

Add ability to update or create apps with manifest paths

Hey team,   We sadly use custom ROM flashed android devices that don't allow us to own them through android enterprise the classic way. This means our options for automated deployment are slim, as you don't offer a way to upload .apk files directly to your API for distribution.   Due to this restriction, it…
