Hi guys,

I wanted to bring up a concern that I believe is relevant to our organization, especially considering recent changes in EU regulations. As you may have heard, the EU has announced that Apple should support the installation of third-party apps on iOS devices. This change could potentially pose compliance issues for our organization, particularly for the iOS devices that we distribute to our employees. Does Hexnode offer a solution to block the installation of third-party apps on iOS devices?

Thanks for reaching out. We understand the need for maintaining compliance and security on corporate devices, especially with the recent changes in EU regulations for Apple iOS devices.

To address this issue, Hexnode UEM has introduced a new option to enforce restrictions on the usage of alternative app marketplaces. With the new restriction, IT admins can prevent users from installing apps from third-party sources. You can find the newly added restriction ‘Install apps from third-party app marketplaces’ under Policies > iOS > Advanced Restrictions > Allow App Settings.
