We’re thrilled to announce the extension of the Web Clips policy to macOS devices. IT Admins can now add shortcuts to the most frequently visited web pages or other links directly to the Docks of managed Macs. These shortcuts will appear like any other app on the Dock but will open the associated links directly.

In addition to web pages, Web Clips can be used to link PDFs, YouTube videos, locations, apps in the App Store, specific FaceTime IDs, and iBooks.

Web Clips on iOS devices have been a highly used feature, and we’re excited to release the same for macOS devices. Just like with iOS devices, IT admins will first need to upload the web clips to the Hexnode app repository and then configure the policy to deploy them to macOS devices.

The feature is supported on macOS 10.7 and later, for users with Ultimate and Ultra subscription plans.

Please check out our help document for step-by-step guidance on configuring the Web Clips policy, and feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

Best regards,
Chloe Edison
