Volume settings greyed out on Elo devicesSolved

Hi guys,
I’ve noticed an issue with our Elo devices enrolled in Hexnode, where the volume settings are greyed out, hindering any adjustments to the device volume. Strangely, this problem is only occurring on the enrolled devices.

Any insights or suggestions on how to resolve this would be much appreciated!

Hey @Chloe,

Are you perhaps using Power over Ethernet (PoE) on your Elo devices? I’ve faced a similar situation before, and this turned out to be the reason.

Hi @Chloe,

If you’re using Power over Ethernet (PoE) with an Elo Android device like the I-Series 4.0, the volume adjustment sliders would be greyed out by default. You can adjust the volume by navigating to Android settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > PoE power manager from the device.
