The Location Check-in in theory is a great idea.

However, if the location check-in’s go no-where. they are useless, if you could add functionality that admins get email notifications on location check-ins or if there was a location in the portal where you could see location check-ins with the message.

why is there a message added to location check-ins, if the message is not shown anywhere?

Hi James,

Hope you are doing well,

When the location of a device is successfully scanned from the portal, the location history would be stored in the device page from Manage > Click on the device name > Location history. In addition to the device page, the locations shall be recorded in the location reports as well. You would be able to find this from Reports > Location reports > Location history.

When the location is sent from the device end to the portal during the location check-in along with the message, you would be able to obtain this info from the location reports. From Reports > Location reports > Location history, you would be able to click on the pencil icon and enable the option to display the location notes. This will add the location note column to the reports and you would be able to see the locations shared by the device along with the location notes.

Do let us know if this option is sufficient for you. It would be great if you could elaborate a bit more on the part of the portal that you would prefer to have the location notes added as well.

If you require any assistance getting this done, you can always reach out to the support team directly via mdm-support@hexnode.com

Cheers!
