San Francisco, CA: The award-winning mobile endpoint management software, Hexnode has recently announced the release of a digital signage solution. The feature which works in the Android kiosk lockdown mode enables organizations to play videos, audios and images in Android mobile devices and displays.
The feature which is named as Kiosk Screensaver is currently available for Android 4.4+ devices. When videos or images are configured as screensavers, the device will start playing the associated image or video file after the designated idle time. Any android mobile, tablet or tv can be converted into a working digital signage with Hexnode remotely, without the requirement of a physical tether. Moreover, the display content can be replaced or removed anytime with Hexnode.
“The digital signage solution mainly targets the retail and media industries. Big screen displays are a vital element in visual marketing and the ability to manage them remotely with all the functionalities that Hexnode offers would be a basic and essential need for organizations.” said Alan Alby, Software Engineer at Mitsogo Inc.
Apart from Android devices, the Amazon Fire devices also support the feature in a limited fashion i.e.; only images can be displayed as of now. Hexnode assures future enhancements to the digital signage solution which expands to other OS platforms.
